1、水环式真空泵运行中的吸气和排气通过气阀动作来实现，若转速过高，会导致气阀动作跟不上，容易产生滞后现象，致使增加容积损失，反而不利于真空度的提高，同时还会导致泵阀撞击严重，加剧水环式真空泵设备的磨损

2、水环式真空泵设备本身会震动，随着转速的提高，它的各部分的振动也将增大，会产生不利影响

3、另一种情况是因为转速高，在一定的抽气速率下行程就越短，而装气阀、缸径又不能太小，否则会引起水环式真空泵余隙容积增大，压缩线和膨胀线变短，不利于提高真空度。为保证真空，水环式真空泵应采用低转速、长行程

4、转速提高之后，平衡通道的水环式真空泵的平衡作用就会变得不明显，不能及时平衡气体，也就不能减少余隙容积带来的影响，从而影响水环式真空泵的真空度
